Boat #230756, that originally was decorated in Seattle, Washington was found in Iceland on July 3, 2025 by Karina Strømmen. She says: “It is my last day at my family farm here. It is a rare sunny and calm day, so I went on a long bicycle ride along the Langanes peninsula. Wanting to enjoy the weather some more I finish my bike ride with a stroll along the beach, looking at the birds and the different items that has washed ashore. Somehow this piece of wood caught my attention, it is not that different from plenty other pieces of driftwood that can be found along this beach. But I see the drawing on the side and decide to take a closer look.”

The boat was decorated by a middle school student from Eckstein Middle School in Seattle, Washington before before being deployed at the North Pole on August 17, 2023 by Le Commandant Charcot crew.
