Seattle Boat Found in Skagafjörður, Iceland

arcticfloatboat

Alice Watterson her partner (Kieran) decided to take a few days away from the city and drove north from Reykjavík Iceland for the weekend.

Alice shared, “We have passed this beach many times over the years and always said it would be fun to walk out to Þórðarhöfði island, so today we finally did and found the float boat! It looked to have been bashed around in the sea so it took some squinting and tilting under a light when we got home to read the website name but we eventually managed to read the words and found the project online :) very cool!”

This boat was decorated in Seattle, Washington at Eckstein Middle School by Norah Walker in Westermoreland’s classroom in 2023.
